What many do not know is that this demon does
not show up straight just the way we had wanted it to appear. It is not always
on the lead. In fact showing up first is against its law of manifestation.
There are several means by which this spirit of confusion manifests itself in
the life of believers in Christ. The nature of this evil spirit is to confuse (to
bring to ruin or to disturb in mind or purpose).
From my little experience as a
deliverance minister, I have discovered several ways this spirit manifests.
It manifests in
the form of anger: when you see two people at logger-heads and everyone is angry,
you had better watch out carefully for this spirit because we may try to
presume that everybody is trying to express his or her own views which was
unaccepted but little did we see that this virus called confusion is the one
already in charge. Check their end; if everybody walks away without settling
the matter amicably, it means this spirit of confusion have taken over.
What we
do not know is that when we get angry, we become ugly. We behave abnormally. We
do crazy things. No angry person looks beautiful while exhibiting that
attitude. I personally have experienced this. You see God has given us free
will. Free will is the ability to change direction anytime.
You have the
ability to change either good or bad. It is not in the power of God, your
pastor or the church to exercise or even change your free will. This is the
reason we do certain things without having a thought about the aftermath
consequences. Uncontrolled anger can set a mansion on fire. Anger is the mother
of confusion. Once you embrace it, your journey in life can be delayed; I mean
it can cost you your destiny. No reasonable person wants to stay with an angry
person. Even the bible warns us about it:
‘’ make no
friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: lest
thou learn his ways and get a snare to thy soul. (prov. 22:24) ‘’
It can come in
the form of misunderstanding: This simply means in my own little language
– the absence of understanding. To understand means to know the meaning of
something, such as the words that someone is saying or a language. This implies
you observing carefully with caution.
You must possess a gentle and calm spirit
while in any conversation. When someone is talking to you, the first thing to
do is to listen very cautiously and attentively so that you do not miss what he
or she is saying. When both parties are talking at the same time, it leads to
misunderstanding which results to confusion.
Believers in Christ Jesus must
understand this matter. I have applied this principle as I counsel people. The
truth is being a good listener. Give people a chance to express their opinions.
Never conclude on issues which you do not understand in any talk. It can lead
to misunderstanding which can invoke this satanic force of confusion.
It can come in
the form of a quarrel: First, we need to understand what it means to
quarrel. To quarrel means to engage in a dispute or complaint. It means to
argue about or disagree with something; to contend or dispute actively. A
notable preacher once said “quarrels will arise but it becomes a problem when
we do not know how to settle it. “
Every unsettled quarrel may lead us into
confusion. You may not want to believe me. But kindly check what happens in an
environment where people are quarreling with each other. If we sincerely agree
that quarrel is all about disagreements and contentions, then let us expect
confusion. If you see any home or organization where there are constant
contentions and disagreements, only a hand-full of progress can be achieved
because unity is lacking. Wherever you see quarrels and misunderstanding, you
will see several set-backs and stagnation. This is the sole aim of this spirit
(confusion). It does not just take over your life, home or ministry
surprisingly. It must have a stronghold by which it must operate. When this
spirit captures a Christian, he or she may not even know they are under the
control of strong satanic force. We must be determined to overlook issues that
are baseless and useless. Overlook matters that will lead you into arguments
and quarrels. You may think you are losing, but just let it go.
